AUTHORIZED HARLEY-DAVIDSON DEALER All roads lead to Aarhus, and CAP’s A/S Authorized Harley-Davidson Dealership. On April 5, 1997, the shop doors opened for the first time. It was snowing on that particular day in April, but that didn’t stop motorbikers from near and far, pulling up outside on their motorcycles, to attend the day's festivities. It was indeed a festive day, and marked the beginning of what Harley-Davidson in Denmark has now evolved into. 15 years have been dedicated to servicing and selling motorbikes, and the store is still situated at the end of the road, where the Harley-universe in Denmark begins.

206:meet-with-aarhus-denmark MEET WITH AARHUS Sunday, 29 April 2012 MOTORBIKE EUROPE - Road Writers -

From the Viking trading town near the sea, to the world's smallest metropolis, Aarhus, or Aros as the Vikings called the city, lies along the river Aros, which, in the old days, was the highway into the hinterland. Aarhus is Denmark's third oldest city after Ribe and Hedeby. Late in the 8th century, the ancient trading center lay on the north side of the Aros river, making the city excellent for trading. It was easy for the Vikings to get to Aros by sea, and they could sail many miles into the hinterland using the inland river system, in their slim Viking Longships.

200:jotunheimen-norway JOTUNHEIMEN NATIONAL PARK, NORWAY Tuesday, 27 March 2012 Dave O'Byrne -

The morning passed all too quickly, with a breathtaking 230km ride over the hills from Trollstigen, 108 kilometres of which, brought us along Sognefjellet National Tourist Route, the highest mountain pass in Northern Europe, at 1,434 metres above sea level. The ride came to an end when Norway's highest mountain, Galdhøpiggen, suddenly came into view, meaning we had arrived at Jotunheimen National Park. Great to be there, but sad that ride was over, for today.

197:stonehenge DISTANT THOUGHTS FROM STONEHENGE Tuesday, 06 March 2012 Valle V. Petersen -

Sitting up by a large stone circle, 137 km southwest of London, and thinking about what sort of people could have manoeuvred these giant stones? How many of these Stone carriers got a herniated disk, or whatever it was called back then? Were they perhaps giants, who lived here in these fields north of Sailsbury, using stones as a kind of Lego bricks, they never got around to putting back in the box? Sitting and thinking, that only three days ago, I was lying in the bottom of a steamboat bound for Harwich, and feared that I was going to England to make a fool of myself driving on the left side of the road. What do I do at roundabouts?? I feared the worst.

WHAT IS A WONDER? Neuschwanstein is on the list of the 20 building wonders of the world, and since 2007, people have voted for the world's seven wonders, in fact, millions of people around the world voted. Neuschwanstein was not one of the seven. The seven wonders were: Chichén Itzá Temple in the Yucatan, the Christ statue outside Rio de Janeiro, the Colosseum in Rome, the Taj Mahal in India, the Great Wall of China, Petra in Jordan, Machu Pichu in Peru. The Egyptians were of course also on the list, and they became quite angry that the Pyramids were not included in the fine company of the seven. Maybe next time?
